The San Luis Obispo County Band is composed of musicians from all parts of the county and they are representative of our broad spectrum of cultural heritage. As such, we are apolitical and do not endorse any particular belief system; we strive to make anyone interested in playing band music feel comfortable. Though we play for many different types of audiences, our presence at any event should neither be construed as an endorsement of the organization nor an endorsement of any opinions, political or otherwise, expressed at the event. The band is a volunteer, federally tax-exempt 501(c)3 and California non-profit Public Benefit charitable organization. That means all financial contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
